If you want fast setup on Smart TV, IBO Player and HOT Player are two practical options. This guide covers both methods so you can pick the one that matches your device and provider format.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following:

  • An active IPTV plan.
  • Either an M3U playlist URL or Xtream Codes credentials (server URL, username, password).
  • A stable internet connection (Ethernet recommended for best results).
  • Correct date/time on your TV for EPG sync.

Method 1: Install IPTV with IBO Player

1) Install IBO Player

Open your Smart TV app store, install IBO Player, and launch it.

2) Note Device ID and Device Key

On first launch, the app shows a Device ID and Device Key. Keep them exactly as shown.

3) Add Your Playlist

From the activation/upload page shown inside the app:

  1. Enter Device ID and Device Key.
  2. Paste your M3U URL (or portal details if your provider uses that format).
  3. Add EPG URL if available.
  4. Save and wait for sync.

4) Restart the App

Close and reopen IBO Player, then test one Live channel and one VOD title.

Method 2: Install IPTV with HOT Player

1) Install HOT Player

Install HOT Player from your TV app store and open it.

2) Choose Login Method

Most providers support one of these:

  • Xtream Codes API (server URL + username + password)
  • M3U Playlist URL

3) Enter Credentials Carefully

Paste credentials exactly as provided. One wrong character is enough to block loading.

4) Load Channels and EPG

After login, allow the app to download channel groups and EPG data before testing playback.

  • Keep live buffer moderate (not max).
  • Enable hardware decoding if your TV supports it.
  • Use Ethernet for high-traffic match times.
  • Set playlist refresh to automatic on app start.

Quick Troubleshooting

If channels do not open:

  1. Recheck credentials and URL format.
  2. Test internet speed and router stability.
  3. Refresh playlist/EPG inside the app.
  4. Restart TV and router once.
  5. Contact support with a screenshot of the exact error.

Final Quality Checklist

Before daily use, confirm:

  1. Live channels load quickly.
  2. VOD works without audio/video desync.
  3. EPG time is correct for your region.
  4. Credentials are stored securely and not shared.

A clean setup now saves hours of troubleshooting later.
